Telephony Engineer
Own the telephony layer that connects our agents to Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, and SIP environments.
About the role
As a Telephony Engineer, you'll build and run the carrier-grade stack behind Callab AI. You'll connect our agents to the phone systems enterprises already use, so customers can adopt AI without moving to the cloud first.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain SIP trunking and call routing
Integrate with Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, and on-premises PBX systems
Monitor call quality and fix issues fast
Support customer deployments with the team
Requirements
3+ years working with SIP and VoIP systems
Hands-on experience with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or similar
Good understanding of call quality, codecs, and carriers
Clear communication with customer IT teams
Nice to have
Experience with enterprise contact center platforms
Familiarity with WebRTC
